March is a refreshing blend of elegant and earthy. The beginning of the Spring months brings 50 degree that feel like the warm embrace of an old friend, one I didn’t realize I had missed so much. Suddenly, I feel an all new sense of inspiration. Nature is coming alive, flowers are blooming, fashion is at its best filled with color and textures, and homes are getting a good spring cleaning. Spring feels like a gentle flirtation with summer, sparking excitement in the heart. Growing up, I always wanted to skip the shoulder seasons, not appreciating the beauty of the in between. But now, I find myself craving these mild, in-between days, hoping for more long, gentle afternoons.
One of my goals this year was to really focus on turning our guest bedroom/my office into a space that feels both beautiful and purposeful. Of course, those plans were a bit derailed when we brought home our Golden Retriever/Irish Setter mix at the start of the year—along with her giant 48″ dog crate. But I’m determined to make the space still feel intentional and welcoming for guests. Spring is the perfect time to refresh different areas of the home, and what better place to start than with bedding? I just ordered the brown gingham bedding set, (oh yeah, I am loving gingham this season) and I can’t wait to see how it transforms the room.
